Solar Power and the Future of Alternative Energy
There’s a happy future for solar power. On the average bright day the sun shines roughly one thousand watts of energy per square meter, enough energy to power all our electricity wishes and excess ( “How” ). This plethora of power and will definitely be employed in the future as we can’t afford not to. It is predicted that in 100-500 years our ordinary fuels will be depleted : This indicates that alternative energy sources will be a requirement ( Exxon ). We consider solar power a replenish-able resource as it is conitinuosly supplied to us by the sun. Although the solar panel cost is not cheap- in the long run it is worth it. When discussing solar technology it is generally broken up into 2 different categories : photovoltaic and solar-thermal technology. The previous converting the power of the sun right into elictricity and the later utilizing the heat produced by the sun. Both these are highly honored for their lack of pollution due largly in part to the lack of the requirement of combustion. Many factors come into place when deciding what the outcome of solar power will be as a major player in energy technologies. One of the important concerns that may decide the way forward for solar energy is, what do we do when the sun sets? Solar electricity can only be removed during light hours ; leaving us to turn to other means at night. The technology to store big quantities of power from solar power does not yet exist.www.solarpanelcostnow.com
